Raghuveer, a 52-year-old farmer from Arera, Uttar Pradesh, was facing life-threatening medical conditions that required urgent surgical intervention. His family, consisting of six members, was deeply concerned about his health and the increasing medical expenses. Fortunately, the intervention of Uplift Live Foundation telecalling campaign proved to be a turning point. Through the campaign, Raghuveer's family became aware of the Ayushman Card scheme and promptly applied for it, enabling them to transfer him to R.K Mission Hospital, a private facility with superior medical amenities. Following a successful surgery, which included radical esophagectomy, gastric conduit, and feeding jejunostomy, Raghuveer spent 16 days in intensive care before being discharged on June 26th, 2024. The implementation of the Ayushman Card scheme not only saved Raghuveer's life but also alleviated the financial burden on his family.
