Introduction
Communities are varied and potentially underserved in a country like India, community capacity building is highly important. It empowers the individual or community to progress up the knowledge and resource ladder and, thereby, address local issues constructively. This being a process of promoting self-reliance, social cohesion, and resilience for sustainable development, it should be considered a means of catalyzing development.
Through Project Uttkarsh, Uplift Live Foundation builds community capacity through skill building and leadership qualities, along with participation in developing the community. The foundation empowers society by not only providing utilization of scarce resources among its marginalized society groups but also providing them with opportunities to ameliorate quality of life through the development of capabilities within communities. Thus, not only immediate needs are solved, but the greatest long-term change for sustainability is provided.
Objectives

Expediting access to healthcare, education, and employment to augment quality of life and advocate sustainable livelihoods by introducing Govt. Schemes and Services.

Awareness of Government Schemes
Spreading awareness and educating various disadvantaged communities about available welfare schemes and their benefits.
Updating Important Documents
Assisting with obtaining and updating essential government documents for accessing services.
Financial Assistance
Direct cash transfers, pensions, or subsidies to support vulnerable individuals.
Access to Basic Services
Safeguarding access to healthcare, education, Life Insurance, Pension and livelihood opportunities.
Social Safety Nets
Providing unemployment benefits, health insurance, and disaster relief.

Approach
The Uplift Live Foundation supports social protection programs to improve the well-being of individuals and communities. Here are some ways in which the foundation may support social protection programs:
Community-based approach: implementing social protection programs involves engaging with local communities to design, deliver, and monitor these programs.
Participatory design: Involve community members in the design and planning of the social protection program. This ensures that the program is culturally appropriate, responsive to local needs, and sustainable in the long term.
Local capacity building: Build the capacity of community members, local organizations, and leaders to actively participate in the implementation and management of the social protection program. This can involve training, skill-building, and leadership development.
Community ownership: Foster a sense of ownership and empowerment among community members by involving them in decision-making processes, program monitoring, and evaluation. This increases program effectiveness and sustainability.
Culturally sensitive approach: Respect and integrate local customs, beliefs, and practices into the program design. This helps to build trust with the community and ensures that the program is accepted and embraced by its members.
